Edit: Revised review up to 4 stars as we received a response from VES on our feedback and request after almost 2 months. We are appreciative of the support given and understand the busy period that they have been experiencing. Earlier review: We had to bring in a community cat whose condition took a nosedive suddenly when he was recovering from a whole lot of bites probably from fights out in the community. He needed oxygen and ICU care and his blood works were a wreck. VES team was professional and helped provide supportive care with daily updates throughout the stay. From the experience, we would have given 5 stars but the post-discharge contradictory stand on supporting rescues and non-communication marred the experience completely. We were told during his stay that VES supports community rescue efforts and could extend a bit of financial help for such efforts, but this never materialised. We had to pay full bill, not cheap obviously given his condition, and when we asked about it, were told that management had to approve it first. Sure, we’ll wait. No news after two weeks, in spite of calls in between. Wrote in subsequently with pictures and evidence too but have received zero updates from VES. At least tell us if our community cat didn’t qualify for whatever reason, we’ll take it. It makes VES’s stance on rescues come across as lip service and the place being uncaring, which runs contrary to our experience with the vets at VES. Our consolation is that thankfully the comm cat did pull through the episode subsequently and is on a very slow road to recovery.

Second time at VES for our dog's leg surgery. Dr Jayson and Dr Celine were very patient and kind throughout the pre-surgery consultations. Shout out to Nurse Amanda for also keeping us updated. Visiting hours are also allowed during our pet's warding. When in the ward, you get a sense of how professional and busy the staff are working round the clock. The place is also kept very clean and sanitary like an actual hospital. Our pet's wound was also well bandaged and maintained. Highly recommended!

Dr Celine was very patient in explaining to me my dog’s condition, and she was also extremely detailed when examining them. The vet techs were also very gentle whilst handling my two nervous dogs. Thank you VES for the care and love towards my dogs!

Sushi, our 14 year old cat had seizure and was very weak when we got him to VES. We thought he would not live. He spent 2 nights in intensive care and now discharged, recovering at home. We are really grateful to Dr Kent and Dr Shimin for taking care of Sushi and your kindness and patience giving support to Sushi's family too. My children and I were greatly comforted that Sushi was in good hands. Our appreciation to the VES staff also for your kindness and understanding. You have all been really helpful.

We’ve been a client of VES since 2017. My dogs and rescues have been their blood donors and their patients, and the staff at VES have never been less than professional and compassionate. While there are many to thank, the people whom I’d like to thank (off the top of my head) are: Dr Sebastien - for diagnosing and treating Mellow’s IBD and his empathy towards my rescues! ? Dr Shimin - for always going above and beyond her call of duty to ensure my dogs are comfortable and in good health, and often OTing to ensure her nurses and patients are taken care of. ? Jaclynn & Haiqal - for managing my (VERY) difficult dogs with utmost professionalism and skill, and reassuring me when I’m worried about them. (I’m sorry my dogs are so rude to y’all!) Tania - for putting up with my calls to book and check my dogs’ appointments and medications refills, and ensuring my messages are well-communicated to the vets. Thank you guys for always being there for my dogs 24/7 and do keep up the great work that you guys have been doing! We really appreciate you guys! ❤️

Brought my beloved Crystal in after being referred to by Brighton Vet around March 2020. She was diagnosed with heart cancer and it caused pericardial effusion. She was not given much long to live and the “long term” surgical options did not seem worth the effort as I did not believe it would contribute much to her quality of life. With much grief we decided to not pursue treatment. However we did go to VES to have the fluid drained twice. And Crystal has been warded at VES for a few nights. Waiting time is expected since it is an emergency vet. Staff can be a bit confusing and attitudes fall a bit short. But otherwise I’ve had a rather pleasant experience with the vets and nurses. Please do note that the fees are high. Which can be expected as they are emergency only.

We brought our cat in as an emergency patient. The care and consideration of all the doctors and nurses here was phenomenal. They updated us as and when results came back and were incredibly kind when they had to tell us our cat had sadly passed away, going over options in the most sensitive of manners. We really couldn’t have asked for a more supportive experience with wonderful people. Thank you so much.
