Wong Dental Surgery - 683 Hougang Ave 8

Dr Wong is a friendly dentist who charges reasonable rates for his procedures. He is experienced, knowledgeable and meticulous and I always trust that he will do a good job. The only downside is the long waiting hours even with appointment, maybe because he is quite well known in the neighbourhood. Also as the clinic is always very busy it is difficult to walk in. On the overall I highly recommend him.

My mom booked an appointment for 630pm and till 8pm she is still waiting?! What is the point of booking an appointment and still has to wait so long? Definitely over booking?

Visited clinic in Apr 2021 due to sudden and thrombin gum pain. Due to fear, I only went to dentists to straighten my teeth. Today, Dr Wong did deep cleaning with NO pain even when I got injected. I was a happy patient. Going for a grafting surgery with him next week followed by a teeth bone surgery then straighten again. Looking forward to stronger teeth before I get old. If you have fear of pain, this is the place. Cash only but worth it. 2. Post Gum Graft Surgery: Dr Wong and his team was very patient. I vomited even before the procedure due to anxiety. They could have made me feel uncomfortable about the vomit but none of them did, Dr Wong displayed no negativity. Despite seeing the sewing and the scalpel going into my mouth, I was numb to the slicing. Their mouth antiseptic received was way nicer tasting then off-the-counter ones. Point to note: follow his instructions on pain meds and antibiotics else you wished you did. Not sponsored, self finance individual who had gum pain.

No pain at all. Very skillful doctor. Trusted him with doing braces and plucking my tooth, wisdom tooth and he did a very good job! Very worth it and he is the best dentist I ever go to ongoing for 3 years ??? Doctor & Staffs are all very nice and friendly too~

Dr Wong is a nice and patient dentist with many years of experiences. Really worth the wait, and the rates are on the cheaper end too! Would highly recommend to visit this dental clinic for all your dental problems! The service quality is top-notch and very consistent.

I've always been wary of dentists, as the sterotypes commonly go. Dr. Wong has changed that completely for me when I went in for my wisdom tooth that acted up. Being a doctor is easier when they rip patients off for simple consults and regular medication when they come in without much choice, lugging along a condition that needs immediate attention and such doctors are a time a dozen in my opinion but Dr. Wong, again, changed my perception of dentists in an instant. He was kind, took his time to explain my situation in layman's terms so I could understand exactly what was happening in my mouth logically and offered me my options with no push and yet, priced reasonably. More importantly for me, what differentiates a good doctor who cares for his patients against one who's in it simply to make a living is the amount of time and effort spent diagnosing, treating, talking his/her patients through alleviating their fears/concerns and also the after-treatment support. On both notes, I got only the best from him. I have pathetically low tolerance for pain so he made the entire process literally painless and talked me through the procedure like the child I become when I'm in pain/fear. He guided me through every step and handheld me patiently. On top of that, several days later, I called in with fear of infection and assumed swelling and instead of letting some intern attend to me, he picked up the phone himself, took his time to explain and calm me down as well as gave his advice to manage the problem. Eventually, I healed perfectly, looking forward to not fearing the other wisdom tooth if/when it does act up. And today, I'm back for long term treatment with my wife, who as much as me, fears the very same things but is today confidently treating her gum problem with surgery and the necessary actions recommended by the good doctor after. Thank you, Dr Wong, for being the one we can trust with our teeth. Please remain the same, patient and loving doctor caring for people like us. God bless.

My mother in law make appointment at 845 to extract her teeth , she complained v pain since morning but she tried to wait until 845pm for her appt because ppl say this Dr good . she come early for appt to register but end up need wait until 10.40pm then can go see Dr . Bad experience ???

I have my crown and implant done by Dr wong and after few years my crown tooth giving me great pain. I went back to him and told him my tooth issue he never solve the problem and just do a cleaning and polishing on my teeth. This is how a dentist treat the patient without giving a solution. I was extremely disappointed and will not go back to him.
