The good thing about this restaurant is they have a separate vegetarian menu which offers a decent varieties. Food was decent but nothing spectacular. Price range is similar to restaurants nearby like Ding Tai Feng or Dian Xiao Er, however they are definitely a notch lower as compared to those mentioned restaurant. Nonetheless plenty of decent porridge options to choose from which is their specialty.

I always enjoyed eating their porridge, as they were cooked to the right texture and consistency without being burnt in the clay pot. Plus there were a variety of porridge with different ingredients to choose from. And most importantly, I don’t get thirsty from eating the porridge, which meant that there is little or no MSG used. Was there on a Friday just after 11am, but noticed there was already a crowd outside the restaurant. After waiting for about 10 minutes, there was no movement at all and I noticed that new diners who just arrived went into the restaurant directly with anyone serving them. It was only then I realized that the crowd were actually waiting for takeaways but stood at the queueing area and the servers were too busy tending to the takeaway orders and delivery riders that they weren’t really bothered about walk-in diners. Other than the poor service, the food met my expectations like usual, this time I ordered the Signature bundle meal for 4 people which came with 4 drinks. Serving size could have been a little bigger as I found it slightly insufficient for 4 adults, as the porridge and the noodles were quite standard in size whether we took the bundle for 3 or for 5 people. However, it was enough the last time as there were 2 adults and 2 kids. Hope they can sought out the queueing part outside the restaurant to avoid confusion.

Ordered the Hericium Mushroom vegetarian bento. Kind of disappointed that without notice, they replaced the beancurd with egg (which some vegetarians do not eat), and broccoli with napa cabbage. Compare with marketing photo of the bento that I saw in their poster, just before I ordered. Not sure how the egg was cooked but it was grey colour, and the veggies very bland. Would understand if they need to cut cost etc hence replace the veggie, but to me, the two replacement side dishes too far from what is advertised. Give it to them though that the monkeyhead mushroom portion was generous & it was well cooked.

Not worth its price. Service wasn’t very good either. The first dish was egg tofu with a surprise. Egg Tofu with half an egg shelf still inside. They were apologetic to change the dish. But I did expect better quality for its price range however it’s no different from eating at a coffee shop.

AOne has always been my go to joint for delicious home cooked comfort food. And they always get it right, except this time, this branch. I frequent Tampines and Jewels branch. Came here on a weekday at 8:30pm, the restaurant were full but we were seated right away. We went for the 50% discount promotion and we weren't expecting much. But what could've gone wrong, went wrong. Pictures shown are what we ordered. My usual, Signature XO Shrimp Egg Fried Rice, was bland, no salt nor wok hei. The Gong Bao Chicken tasted very stale and not fresh. Not sure if the chicken was re-cooked and it really felt like the taste was intentionally masked with the amount of dried chili given in the dish. The French Bean with Sambal, was sweet and again no wok hei. You can see for yourself that the French Bean is not just overdone but it's limp and dry, probably due to be thrown out. Please also refrain from mopping the floor where your customers are dining. I understand that the practice is to sit your customers at certain parts of the restaurant when nearing closing hours so you can clear up one part of the restaurant; maybe mop that part of the restaurant last?

I should have checked the reviews here before entering the restaurant! Standard dropped. There was no wok hei in any of the dishes. Despite having slices of gingers in the gong-bao chicken dish, there was no hints of ginger at all! Both dishes tasted like having the ingredients cooked in water and finished by stirring in the sauce. The meat had those frost bite bloody taste too! Not repeating my visit anytime soon.

If you are going to try their green signature dishes which is the dedicated section of their menu. Here is an honest review after i tried it. Some comment on the dish after i tried them at waterway point. The chaipo toufu was too salty and for $10+ dish, chaipo, toufu and a bit of chili is just too stingy. The sesame oil noodle was not good either. Huge chunks of raw and not fresh carrot, the mock meat chicken was very bland. The chef should have fry it first. The worst part is, I couldn’t taste any flavour from the sesame oil. The sambal fried rice was not bad. One major issue is the fried beancurd, i believe your chef just take out from the fridge and serve right away. It was very very very hard to chew without any liquid. Just my review of the dishes after I tried them at Waterway point. Looking forward to next visit and hope that the food will be improved

Should had checked the review before trying here. Total disappointment with the food. Bean curd was too hard and taste like poorly defrosted. Fried sea bass have a muddy smell which can tell from the first bite. Porridge taste as awful as well but yet can be their "signature" dish Last but not least the soup, can't see any crab meat except those crab stick and taste like canned soup. Some ingredients they used are not defrosted properly and have a funny smell. Spend almost $80 to learn my lesson, there's a reason why every restaurant have long queue during peak hours except this one.
