Buddy Hoagies Steak & Grill Restaurant (Waterway Point)

Was there early and no q. Food is reasonably priced and fantastic. Service is good too. Recommended!

Went to the waterway point outlet on Sunday around 6pm. There was a queue and we waited for 20 mins to get our seat. Advise is to come around 6pm as there is a long queue around 7pm. Ordered the honey pork rib, steak & prawn set. We top up $4+ to make it a set with soup and a drink. Food came relatively fast. The mushroom & minestrone soups are ok. Garlic bread is soft and nice. Honey pork rib is tasty n tender. Hubby ordered the medium rare sirloin steak is yumny and good. Only the onion ring is cold and prawn shell is difficult to remove. The 2 side is big portion and worth for the price. Luckily we didn't ordered the waffle as is filling after the main dish. Overall a satisfactory dinner for the first visit.

Staff is helpful and responsive. When we were offered a small table at the corner and declined and requested for a different table which is at a cooler spot, the staff were kind enough to accommodate our request without a fuss. However we were a little disappointed that the hot sides were not hot. Our fries and onion rings were not hot and felt like it’s been left out for some time. The baked potato was not hot enough to melt the margarine it came with. The sirloin steak too, which we requested for Medium was a tough cut to eat as it’s got hard to chew fats. Otherwise, everything was okay. We have been here multiple times and hope the standard of the food will get better

I went to buddy hoagies wwp on the 6th of May 2022 at around 6pm. Waiting time was around 15 to 20 mins (Which was relatively short for a Friday night dinner. I order a rubeye steak (215g) with fries, onion rings and a set meal. The total cost was about $30.60 (abit pricey leading to the minus one star) The mushroom soup was good (Creamy and flavourful) but nothing out of the ordinary. The garlic bread was nice but could have been toasted more. Similarly the fries and onion rings are nothing out of the ordinary good but not exceptional. The steak however was definitely something. Unlike many other western restaurants, their steak was really juicy and is packed all of fatty meat! With almost no muscles, my teeth were spared from needing to keep chewing on the meat. All in all, buddy hoagies is a definite must go for people who live in punggol and are looking for a good Western restaurants to enjoy good steak. However I have yet to try thier other food like thier pizza, patse, baked rice and would update my review once I do. Update 1: MY 1st impression of the restaurant was good which prompted me to visit again to try one of my favourite comfort food chicken baked rice. I was horribly disappointed. Despite looking and smelling amazing, the chicken was undercooked (I could taste a raw taste, similar to fish tatse) and the cheese was not fully baked with some parts still watery. Really really disappointed.

It’s good overall, the smell of the grill is nice and tender also. Tostitos is crispy but a bit oily, see oil on empty plate. But that means you have to put some effort to remove the oil. It’s busy hour cannot except them to drain too well. Will recommend to dine here. ESP during lunch they have soup and tea for free. Minestrone taste delicious but garlic bread was cold but delicious.

Food is pretty good, with the rosti and pork chops standing out.. pork chops was tender and moist while the rosti tasty and crisp.. Service was very attentive and could tell that the staff are trying hard to cater to our needs..

Big portion in food but slow in cooking. Ordered 4 mains but came 2. The other 2 had to be takeout. Even appetizer/sides came later than the main food. Getting too popular & standards is dropping.

Long Q even on Thursday evening 7pm. Excellent food quality ? Extremely value for money. Ordered steak! Big serving, very good ? ? pie ? and brownie. Anyone who wants steak should visit. Their other options like chicken pork fish are great too ?
