A&W Jurong Point

There are only three things you need to try at A & W. 1) Waffles - Strawberry only 2) Curly fries with the Coney beef sauce on top 3) Frosty Root Beer Float Skip the others

No complains about the standard and quality of food. Quite consistent with all other A&W. But this fast food restaurant is not really fast and if you don't mind waiting like 15 minutes for your food during an off peak hour where its not crowded then you're good.

Passed through Jurong Point on Saturday while on another food adventure to the Western side of Singapore. While there, realised that A&W has an outlet there so headed up to Level 3 for some good times. Have missed enjoying A&W and was feeling blessed to have stumbled upon the outlet here. The best part of enjoying a meal at A&W is drinking the Root Beer from a frozen mug. Yes, the amount is not much but that enjoyment of drinking from the frozen mug is sooooooo good. The Coney Dog, also known as a Beef Chili con Carne Hot Dog in certain areas of the Western World, was alright. The chili con carne didn't have the same oomph as the Airport outlet. Okay, the chili con carne here isn't exactly chili con carne as it isn't spicy so you can call it minced beef sauce also. Sadly the beef sauce is not as yummy nor fragrant when compared to the early days at Jewel Changi Airport. The curly fries has always been a joy to play and eat. Many have tried replicating but have found few that have not burnt the curly fries while frying it. General Verdict: Fast Food Restaurant from many middle-aged Singaporeans history returning after disappearing from Singapore for more than 20 years and serving up fast food that is well received by young and old all alike. Unfortunately, the drop in standards of the food quality since it first reopened at Jewel Changi Airport about 1.5 years ago is alarming and if not rectified, A&W may follow the fate of Wendy's in Singapore. A&W cannot depend on their Root Beer alone to keep the diners coming. The root beer served within even had some frozen crystals after it was dispensed within Verdict: Very Good, Must Order Price: SG$2.90 2) Item: A&W Root Beer Float Description: Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a mug that was pre-chilled at freezing temperature. The root beer and ice cream served within even had some frozen crystals after it was dispensed within Verdict: Very Good, Must Order Price: SG$3.50 3) Item: Coney Dog Set Meal - Beef chili con carne on Hot Dog - Served with a side of curly fries and a mug of Root Beer Float Description: The beef sauce in the Coney Dog is not as fragrant and yummy as when A&W first returned at Jewel Changi Airport Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$9.50

Love the onion ? rings, curly fries ? is ok, beef burger ? is tasty. Chicken ? is crispy. Waffle ? is ok. Overall dining experience is okay.

Long queue but I Like the fries with beef sauce.. chicken is tasty and flavourful! Will be back again..

Honestly, standards of A&W has dropped since they were first here, so it likely isn't even this outlet's fault. The chicken was dry, though the skin was still a little tasty. Ice cream in the root beer and waffles melted faster than it should, and the fries were just edible. The only thing that A&W has going for it is nostalgia from the slightly older generation. Otherwise, don't come here, the food and calories aren't worth it.

I waited a long time to actually eat there because the queue was always long at this outlet but the wait was worthwhile... the food brings back memories of the 1st time I ate at their outlet before their 1st closure. You have to order the food via self-service ordering kiosk, get your beeper, then go to the counter and collect your drinks. Once the food is ready, the beeper beeps and you can collect the food at the counter again. Do order your waffle separately, otherwise you will have to wait like forever before you can get your burger and fries. The mozza burger is very good. The burger bun is tender, beef patty is juicy. I can’t really taste much of that tiny piece of chicken crisp but it add texture to the overall taste. The curly fries is still as good as before. The waffle is crispy and hot but it has a salty taste which I don’t like. But it tastes ok if you eat with the ice cream.
