Our family's regular place for authentic Hong Kong dim sum and Cantonese dishes. Attentive services and cozy ambience too!

It’s my first time to empire fine. We had some simple dishes, but all were great! All the crews were very nice and service was very detail, with care and making us cosy while dining. Special thanks to Jacky, we really felt the whole dining was perfect on this special event as a birthday celebration. Will do come back again!

Excellent and well-executed Cantonese cuisine with finesse. Dined here again last evening and the dishes never fail to deliver. Always a delight to come here as the manager and staff are friendly, engaging and attentive. Pretty good wine list and nice stemwares as well. Certainly worth a visit!

We have chosen our hometown dishes to reward ourselves in the Mother's day. We had six dishes and all are very delicate and delicious. In a comfortable environment and excellent service, we enjoyed an afternoon! Very authentic Cantonese cuisine, highly recommended!

Love the food here, totally exceeded expectations. The crispy rice in lobster bisque is a must try. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic too. Highly recommended place to dine whether couples or families.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when researching for dim sum around the Orchard area. Would say that it’s definitely a must try. I felt like I was transported back to Hong Kong. ⭐️ First Impressions: Exterior of the restaurant was dazzling and beautiful. However, had to wait for like 15-20 mins for the staff to clear table even though I had a reservation and arrived on time. ⚠️ Tip: Do get a reservation at least a week in advance as it was full house when we went. If you make last minute reservations like I did, I believe they still might have some seats but it would be in the afternoon seating at 1.30pm. ⭐️ Food: We came here for dim sum lunch and the menu was extensive. There was a dedicated dim sum chit and the a la carte menu. We ordered hot and sour soup and porridge from a la carte and dim sum. ⭐️ Flavour: The food were all served very hot and piping even though there was a bit of wait time. The highlights were 叉烧酥,豉汁排骨,酿三宝。Very authentic and tasty. 叉烧酥 was very soft, it broke when I dipped the fork inside and the BBQ pork inside was well-marinated, rich in flavour. 豉汁排骨 was super hot and chewy even though there was a tad little fat. 酿三宝 was the star of the show as it was like yong tau foo but super saucy and chewy, the sauce was special and texture was layered. The porridge though was a little different than expected even though the waiter did say beforehand it was Teochew style. I was expecting the thick starchy good ol HK style porridge but the porridge was very watery and the rice were dispersed. ⭐️ Price: Pricing was affordable and not overly expensive given its Orchard Road location. Each dish was only priced at $5.80-7. We ordered about 8-10 dishes for 2 pax and it was only $85 in total after GST, service charge. ⚠️ Tip: Do order the 叉烧酥,豉汁排骨 and 酿三宝。For those who like starchier porridge, the porridge here might not be for you. Those who don’t like coriander 香菜 ? might want to avoid the Cheong fun as it has coriander embedded. ⭐️ Service: Service was excellent. All the staff there seems well trained and kept changing our plates without us needing to inform them. Seems like all of them spoke Cantonese so it kinda added to the authenticity of the restaurant. Tea was also refilled timely as the staff kept a constant lookout. Shout out to a young looking waitress with a bun whom I didn’t catch her name but was very courteous and attentive. ⭐️ Ambience: Ambience is great with plush cushion fittings and nice chandeliers, reminds me of the nice 酒楼 you see in Hong Kong. However, place is not very large, it’s basically a big rectangular layout and we were placed in a private dining room that had 3 table set-ups, along with 2 other diners. The table we were assigned was a little rectangular table and we thought were a little squeezy since only 3-4 dim sum could be laid at any one time. ⚠️ Tip: If you prefer more spacious seating, perhaps make reservation in advance and request to the staff for a bigger table. Overall, highly recommended for its authentic and piping hot dim sum. And did I mention they have beautiful tableware printed with traditional Chinese 山水画. Staff there is well trained, attentive and courteous. The only gripe was the slightly small table but it was perhaps of the full house lunch service, if not would have given 5 stars.

Tried Empire Restaurant last weekend. Exceeded expectations and generous portion. Service was very good as well. We ordered : 1.Deep fried scallops- signature dish 2. Seafood soup crispy rice 3. Kurobuta Char Siew 4. Steam cod with ham+ mushroom 5. Diced beef with garlic 6. Kailan fried with dried fish 7. Silver fish salt n pepper 8. Spinach tofu with mushrooms Items 4, 5, 7 and 8 were very good in my opinion. Item 2 soup can be more flavourful.. Regardless, the experience was good, and definitely coming back.

One of my go to places for fine Cantonese and Teochew style Chinese cuisine. Also helps that they have a nice selection of fine wine. Friendly and efficient service team led by restaurant manager Jacky whom I rely on to advise me on dishes and wine pairing that suit my palate.
