Kai Duck (Ngee Ann City)

Good service team. Peking duck skin was good but we found the meat was too dry and taste less. Roasted BBQ pork tasted delicious.

Was surprised to get a seat at this restaurant. Food was good and not the most expensive in taka. Had half roast duck and it was nice. Will try the Peking duck next time, which is not expensive. Portions are quite big for the noodles and rice too. Will return to try their other dishes.

Reserved for Mother’s Day, and the process is quite smooth. Peking Roasted Duck ($68) - 4/5 Hongkong noodles 2nd cook ($13.80) - 4/5 The Peking duck well with the accompaniments and sauces (seriously the sauce was so delicious), but I prefer a bit more fat to the duck skin. However it’s still worth the price and I would order this again. Baked Pineapple Buns ($7.80) - 3.5/5 Loved the sweet crunch on top but the bread itself was a little dense for my liking, so it was kind of a gooey mess in my mouth when I chewed with the butter. Fried Yam and Pumpkin ($6.80) - 5/5 Must order especially for yam lovers! This was so good I wished we ordered 2 plates. Laksa Prawns ($22) - 4/5 Very interesting dish, it’s made of fresh prawn balls fried in laksa sauce. Loved how memorable it is, but the dish is pretty small for the steep price tag.

Went there a couple of months ago. What I experienced then might be different now. This restaurant lived up to its reputation. The cuisines were indeed good. But service was terrible. I think the staff were unable to cope with the restaurant's popularity. The management did not seem to understand that if you have 2 seatings, and you packed the restaurant with too many tables placed closed to one another and with each table seated with more than the size of table is designed for, you stressed the staff and make all your customers uncomfortable. Because of the two seatings, staff served the dishes very quickly in order to get the customers out as fast as possible. Giving no time for customers to really enjoy the food. And because of the size of the tables, staff had to practically squeeze all the dishes onto a limited space. I had to demand to cancel a few dishes because the staff could not find any space on the table to serve anymore dishes. So sad that I am no longer in love with a restaurant that I once loved so much.

As an more affordable counterpart of Kai Garden. The standards of service & food is definately there. Dim sum taste as similar as its high end branch. Roast duck is tender & meaty with crispy skin. Everybody has their own favourite roast duck place even neighbourhoods one too. I will say, it's another good roast duck option, $28 for half. Its easy to bite even for elderly and kids.

For 68 bucks, the peking duck is pretty good! Meat was tender, skin was crispy. Apart from the normal wrapper they give you a rice cracker too. The other dishes and dim sum were awesome as well. Will definitely go back again

Good Peking duck. Good selection of food to cater to different tastes in a family, and all are tasty without overpowering seasoning. Reservations required as they have very brisk business. As they are often very busy, so serving can be a bit frazzled with dishes arriving not at a consistent interval. Might need some special effort to get staff attention but friendly and attentive to customer's requests.

Our waitress suggested the fried rice black truffle saying it taste nice, we ordered one and truly enough it’s gone in seconds down to little tummies. Kids rated it as 10 out of 10. All foods we ordered did not disappoint us, all taste yummy and to our satisfaction. Next time we will come back to try roasted ducks ? Servers are very attentive and friendly too.
