Carrot cake was OK. The woman's attitude sucked big time. Simply asked her how long my order would take, and she snapped at me. I know its a tough business, but being rude is never justified. Won't put up with her BS, She definitely isn't getting my money again.

The carrot cake here is simple. The cake is very soft which I like and the egg has very crispy parts which tasted great. The only downside is that the plate was not consistently cooked. The chilli was not well spread out and some huge chunks had no crisp and tasted rather bland. But overall very good portion for $2.50 and wouldn't mind having it again although wouldn't go out of my way to have it.

The carrot cake looked fantastic but sadly did not taste much. The eggs were bland and tasteless and it was overall more texture than taste. Surprisingly, there was no sauce provided since the simple dish was quite bland.

My family has been frequenting this carrot cake place for about 15 years and the quality has remained the same throughout. Amazing food, good spice in the chilli and the price range ranges from $3-$5. Very affordable! Possibly the best carrot cake in the region.

??? One of the best carrot cake ( Black Version ) I tasted all these year. There one at Toa Payoh but since the son take over , average. For this stall , price and portion affordable, the carrot cake soft and the eggs just the right amount. No regret . Simple cooking style but years of experience does counts to get the right yummiest taste . ???

First time trying this stall, as I noticed a queue patiently waiting for fried carrot cake at 8.30pm. Ordered the black version without chilli, good size portion for $3. I was surprised with the generous portion of eggs in the dish, almost 50% and the rest being soft carrot cake. Definitely comfort food for me, worth coming back to try the white version.

Chance upon this carrot cake stall that operates in the evening. Their stall is located in the middle row. Since I was still feeling a little hungry, decided to give this carrot cake stall a try plus there was no queue. Price for the carrot cake starts from SGD$2.50 onwards. They served both black and white carrot cake. Interesting thing to take note is that they homemade their carrotcake as shown by the many stacks of steaming trays in their stalls. Ordered the SGD$3 portion black with less chili. The carrot cake was average, had better one elsewhere. Taste wise, on the bland side. Did managed to taste the chye poh but could do with more seasoning. The carrot cake was not fried evenly, as you can see from the photo, certain part is darker in colour while certain side is more pale. Overall, the fried carrot cake was okay, would try the white one the next time round.

Plus: - definitely a passed for the black carrot cake. - made to order ?? - very affordable, from $2.50 / $3 / $4 / $5. - very impressed with uncle cooking the carrot, dressing up in old-school office wear and neatly tucked in Minus: - Auntie taking order is a little edgy. - Half-black half-white available for $5 orders.
