★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Initially wanted to try the popular soya sauce chicken but it was already sold out when i was there. Walked around and saw 2 stalls with long queue and decided to settle this for lunch.
queued for almost 20mins before it was my turn to order. Had their mushroom minced meat noodle, price starts from SGD$3 onwards. One thing that i noticed that sets them apart is that they use a charcoal stove to keep the braised mushroom warm.
Portion was pretty generous for the SGD$4 portion.Besides that, the ingredient are pretty common.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best Bak Chor mee.. the stall owner use every effort to cook every bowl. The noodle was well cooked till perfect texture and spongy. He cooked bowl by bowl and make sure the sauce from stewed mushroom, black vinegar, Chili and pork lard makes it a perfect test. It tops with minced meat, fish and pork ball, sliced pork and mushroom. Highly recommended but expected to wait longer due to he cooked bowl by bowl from raw .. but worth a wait !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bcm needs little introduction but the magic is in the pot of braised mushroom! The mushrooms have been careful cooked and stirred constantly by charcoal fueled stove. This traditional way of cooking is rare these days. The amount of air let into the stove is skilfully timed as I see the owner cooking but eyes always on the stove. Meat balls are also not the typical mass produced type; it's tenderness and succulence stand out. The kway teow is also super smooth and silky.. Nicely complimented by the tasty, ultra hot brooth. Not really a fan of soup noodles but this won be over. Excellent bowl of indulgence worth the calories!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mushroom Minced meat Noodle (Mee Pok) Dry. Have not noticed this minced pork noodle at Alexandra Village Food Centre until recently when I felt like I ran out of options on what to eat until I notice a slightly long queue for this stall and decided to give them a go. Pretty decent with its generous ingredients and well braised mushrooms. The broth was a meh though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This stall’s unique component in their BCM is their braised mushrooms and sauce, which are left simmered in a claypot over charcoal fire before its served. Delicious.
Noodles are cooked springy and well seasoned. A good amount of ingredients for $4. No pork liver served here.
