Stewed soups which are wholesome, delicious & affordable. Their steamed minced pork with pumpkin is popular too.

There's usually a queue at dinnertime took a mere 10 minutes to get to the front of it. Soups start at $3.50, they are cooked in big pots and then scooped out when ordered. The soup was delicious and generous with their ingredients. It felt quite nutritious rather than msg ladened. Serving size for the rice was big too.

Went there for the first time on 17 aug 2018 at around 2pm and ordered the night blooming soup. Heard about the shop 2 years ago at clementi but beause they don't sell that soup, I gave up on going for it. Went there based on the 2018 michelin guide. Soup is nice to drink. Rice not sticking together. What's special is that the soup is packed with a lot of ingredients to the brim. Other places, because of cost savings, gave lesser ingredients. Meat was not too tough but found one that is a bit tougher than the rest. Night blooming flower or something else was soft and nice to eat. 1st time eating it actually. It taste a bit salty but still nice. All in all, everything was good. Food is affordable and worth it to me.

Spare Rib soup with Mushroom. Serving a slightly different type of boiled soup, this one is savoury with a sweet tang thanks to the carrots and shitake mushroom. Anyone knows the recipe?

Tried the lotus root soup here, the soup is very light and the lotus root I had was old and dry.

Enjoyed the vegetables in the night-blooming cereus spareribs soup. The soup and rice were good too. But the pork ribs could be more meaty.

#01-51 Zhen Zhi Wei Hong Kong Yummy Soup Zhen Zhi Wei serves up Cantonese Soup in small servings with up to 8 different types to choose from. For the Cantonese folks, soup is a necessity for all meals as it helps to balance the meals. The stall has signs telling you what each soup can do for your body, so that you can pick the best one for yourself. This is great for the busy folks who are not really able to enjoy a warm bowl of soup given that Hot Clear Soup is not a huge staple of Fast Food or Western Meals. Found the soup here acceptable but sadly, again no Wow Factor. General Verdict: Yummy Hot Cantonese Soup that is good for a visit now and then but not for a special visit. Opening Hours: Daily 12pm-8:30pm (Closed on weekends) Queue Situation: Next to none outside of meal times, otherwise expect to wait up to 15 mins Price: SG$3.50-SG$5 Payment Mode: Cash, Local Internet Banking by QR code or AMEX (Singapore) Pay Is this worth a try? Unlikely Items Ordered: 1) Item: Spare Ribs Soup with Lotus Root - Good for improving the liver and soothing the lungs Description: Tasty soup that could do with a little more flavour Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$4 2) Item: Spare Ribs Soup with Mushrooms - Good for increasing the body's natural immunity system Description: Tasty soup that could do with a little more flavour Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$4
