Reasonable prices & food is tasty. Ordering a set comes with rice, soup, seasoned soft boiled egg & seasoned bean sprouts. Loved the chicken hearts too

This is quite an interesting experience, having Japanese BBQ at a coffee shop. The grill has a good flame and it was enjoyable to use. The meat cuts are good, I like the pork jowl and chicken balls in particular. Good range of meats, sauces and marinades as well.

I’m a repeat customer and I’m reviewing after 4-5 visits. The portions are good for the price, quality of the meats over my various visits has been good and fresh. Rate 4 stars the missing star is ambiance, but it’s not a deal breaker. It’s just a place you come have a delicious meal in shorts and tee. I’ll be back for sure if they keep up with the good value.

I agree with the earlier reviews : "Biggest red flag is half boiled egg, beansprouts and toppings left in the open for god knows how long." Hygiene was certainly not to my expectations. I was skeptical of the cold egg but ate it anyway. We did attempt to warm it up by pouring it into the aluminium foil cup and heating it. My friends and I had stomachache the next day, to which we believed the egg was the cause of it. Half-boiled egg should not be prepared earlier and left out in the open air to collect bacteria, especially during a pandemic situation. The cheese sauce is really lame btw. Mushrooms are expensive for such little amounts. Soup & rice is not bad although it was served cold. Meats are alright, nothing special. Had some expectations since it is by keisuke but i think it is only okok. Will not return as I believe it is nothing much special neither do I think it is very value-worth, location is not great either. I rather go for yakiniku-go if I am really craving some affordable yakiniku.

Yakiniku stall in a casual coffee shop setting. Ordered the beef set and pork set and additional side dishes of chicken meat balls and kampong chix thigh. The portion of the sides abit small but for $5 each i guess that’s not much to expect. The beef set is decent. Not fantastic but it’s only $15 for a decent portion. Pork set was pretty gd also. Generally the pricing is on point for the quality of the meat that your getting. It’s even cheaper than Yakiniku Like/Go but of course, those are in ac environment. I think Yakiniku Yaro deserves some attention. Gambate!??

A fun dinner spot at affordable prices ~$50 for 2pax, with various dips and sauces. Goes great with beer. Portions are small though, so you'd need to order more, which also gives you more chances to try different items in a way. Love the chicken liver and pork tongue as its literally the freshest it can be. The chicken meatballs is actually impressive like what the other reviews mentioned, they taste fresh, nothing like the ones at ntuc. The spicy sauce is INTENSE though, fair warning.

First time trying! Very nice food. The Dan Dan tofu is very unique and refreshing. The set comes with the half boiled egg with goes very well with the rice. Meat is savoury. Overall satisfied and will return!

Good meat, good sauces (like the miso one), good egg dip (with some spices in it), good value! Comparing with another Yakiniku place also in Geylang i ate last week after watching a Japanese YouTuber, this grill is better as you put the meat on wire mesh instead of a plate. It doesn't have oil exploding everywhere (still feel fresh after the meal) n the fire directly "flambey" your meat. The soft bone and chicken heart are special dishes you don't find elsewhere easily. Personal preference, I'll go for original taste then the spicy, so that you can really taste the meat. If all spicy, then all will taste the same. Softbone might be better spicy as it doesn't have much taste on its own, but eat it at the end so that the spice doesn't overpower the others.
