I’m always on the lookout for Japanese restaurants that have good food at affordable prices and my hunt has ended with YAYOI. YAYOI known for its Teishoku (Set Meal) which includes a main dish, side dish, a bowl of Japanese Kinme rice and miso soup. And they offer complimentary Free-Flow refills of rice and miso soup for Teishoku item. Aside from Teishoku, they also offers an impressive range of Japanese food from Ala Carte Dishes, Sides, Drinks, Desserts and KIDS MENU too! I love how they carefully designed the menu to embody the wisdom of Japanese culinary and the quality of each ingredient selected, especially their Koshikikari rice, which is imported from Japan and polished in Singapore. Which explain why their rice is softer, fluffier & each grain is separated with a nice chewy density. Their sauces are made based on own recipes too! Yayoi also integrates technology into their ordering system by installing iPads in every dining table where we can select and order directly from the iPad. It's so convenient as it saves the waiting time for the staffs to take the orders. But of cause if you need phyiscal menu or any assistance, feel free to call the pleasant and courteous staffs which are efficient and very observant. The interior layout is very simple, nice and clean that makes dining really comfortable. What I tried, Kaminabe Zen Set Paper hotpot with assorted vegetables that allows you to choose your preferred mains (Chicken, Pork Belly, Scallops, Salmon, Beef or Seafood) and soup base (Tomato Cheese, Shoyu Burdock, Tonkotsu, Wafu, Tomato or Spicy) serve with Rice, Ebi Tempura, Salmon Sashimi and Salad! Of the 6 soups base, 3 are their new launch exciting flavours which is semi sweet & tangy "Tomato Cheese", sweet "Shoyu Burdock" and the iconic rich flavour of "Tonkotsu. I choose Salmon as my main and really love the thick cuts of the sliced Salmon that are very fresh. I also enjoyed the rich Tonkotsu Soup and the beauty of this hotpot is I can immerse the quality rice into the rich flavourful essence of soup to become Japanese porridge. Hobayaki Zen Set. Incorporating Wasabi Miso as the base on a Magnolia leaf with your selected protein (Chicken Steak, Scallops, Salmon, Seafood or Pork Loin). Each set will comes with Rice, Ebi Tempura, Salmon Sashimi and Salad. The presentation of this dish really on point Feature here is Pork Loin that is slowly grilled to tender perfection. The wasabi miso is really fantasic and goes very well with pork loin. It was the best combination ever and I loved it Mentai Age Saba. Thick cut mackerel fried to cripsy perfection while the flesh retain it's smooth and moist, served with mentai mayo dip. The term CRISPY has reached a new height! Ika Maruyaki. Grilled whoke squid on hot stove served with shio kosho and teriyaki sauce. Is tender soft with slight chew most importantly not rubbery and the teriyaki sauce goes well together with the squid. This is a great side dish for sharing! The flavourful marination of the squid, perfectly grilled and tender texture has totally won me over. Pairing my meal with Yuzu Soda and Green Apple Cooler Soda.

Ordered a sukiyaki set and it was really delicious! My favourite part of the meal was the ebi fry. It was crunchy and the tartar sauce complemented it well. The staff there were all really patient and helpful as well :)

Had An Enjoyable Dinner Over There. Overall Food Was Tasty. Although The Tomato Soup Base Taste Alrite 4 Me. Price Was Reasonable Too, Est Abt $82 Total Bill.

Visited on Saturday night for dinner, it was not a pleasant dinner as I met an unfriendly and crude guy staff. Management should look into it, otherwise, whoever met the guy will not have a pleasant dining experience! As for the food I ordered, was not good, tempura was not crispy and the meat is tough. Taste was salty as well. There's other better restaurant with similar price point with better service out there.

Was really pleasant to be greeted with such a generous portion of food! Also, the food served is really fresh and delicious. My friend and I cleared them pretty quickly. Overall a good experience, staff was really friendly ?

Enjoy my lunch at yayoi star vista. The food was great and the prices are fair for the portion size. I love the service and staff there were friendly suggesting food for us. Good variety of food, you can chose among many menu options. Recommended.

Wow the food in was delicious, the meals came in large portions for a real affordable price. Bang for your buck. The unagi was my favourite dish as it was generously seasoned and grilled well. I would recommend this to my friends and bring them there. It was super worth as it was a good place to bring my friends as it had a nice atmosphere.

Very friendly staffs and nice ambience. My favourite has got to the hotate butter scallops. The zen sets are so generous in portions too. Really value for money, will come back again for the food.
