The elementary tote bag workshop that I attended last Sunday is good and easy to follow. Instructor Kang is thorough in his teaching and helpful.

A rewarding experience that I suggest to everyone that has an interest in sewing. The trainer was friendly and patient, the sewing machines are all high level and easy to use, the product of the workshop (a tote bag) is really useful and nice. I spent 3.5 hours, although the workshop lasted only 2.5 hours, and I went home with better knowledge about sewing in general and Bernina tools in particular and a handmade tote bag!

Be careful of Bernina and their machine quality!! If you ask your local sewing groups, a few will agree that their service and response time is really questionable! September 2021 - machine made a weird noise - Sent for servicing - Nobody told me the exact reasons why my 9 month old machine is like this - Machine broke down AGAIN when used for 45 mins - SECOND service in a month Sep - Dec 2021 - I had to ask about my machine update if not nobody would update me about anything - Got my machine back after 4 months of chasing Jan / Feb 2022 - did not use my machine ever since it came back because I had an ectopic pregnancy and was on bed rest. Feb 2022 - machine broke down AGAIN after <45mins of use - Embroidered ONLY HALF of my piece (previous times I could complete at least one piece) - Went to the office AGAIN - Met up with a lady who told me she’s the in charge of Bernina Singapore. - Showed her the machine, told her what I just typed above and more. She asked if I actually knew how to sew? She asked if I actually knew how to use the machine? Why would I buy a $12,000 machine if I don’t know how to sew? She even said that she had never heard bernina’s machine making such a noise before. In that case, When I asked if I could replace my machine, she said no? - They said that they will get back to me ASAP and half a month has passed. Very pointless to do everything you can to care for the machine on a regular basis. Note that I also also bought a brand new table for this machine and it still broke down. I also oil and clean the machine on the regular just for bernina’s head to insinuate that I don’t know how to use a sewing machine despite sewing and embroidering for luxury brands. It’s pretty shady because you’re spending money buying a defective product marketed as a brand new product. Now I can’t even get a refund or brand new machine despite being 1 year in the warranty. They supposed to give us 5 years but I don’t think they even know how to take care of their OWN machines. I have consulted CASE and done whatever I can. This post is to raise awareness about the afterservice and their shady doings after a $12,000 purchase. You get a better service and product quality buying a 2022 Chanel bag. However if you like to spend money on defective products and if you like people to disrespect you, I would highly recommend this place! Pls remember to do your own research and get a machine brand that has skilled technicians that can take care of your machine even after ten years

Highly recommended! I failed.my sewing during school days and never thought I could sew until I attended a workshop at Bernina. Not only their user-friendly machines (almost idiot proof!), The 3-hr-workshop not only helped me deliver a bag, it also enables me to know basic operation of the machines and sewing techniques. I instantly felt in love with sewing and the best thing is that I can rent machines at Bernina at affordable pricetags, so I started designing my own projects and staff at Bernina have been very helpful in advising and supporting my projects patiently. I've done a makeup purse, brushes holder, chair cover and currently working on a curtain for my washing machine! (See images). It's definitely a great environment for sewing anything from altering your clothes to creating your own masterpieces, for anyone from zero experience to sewing experts! One of my favourite pastime place when I want a therapeutic day.

My 10 year old daughter had a great time attending the sewing class workshop. She was quite apprehensive at first fearing she might not enjoy it or the pace will be too fast for her to catch up. The instructor, Teacher Kelly and Yasmeen were very patient with her throughout the session as they guide her through. She enjoyed every single bit of it and is now asking to go for another workshop ?

Went for a machine embroidery class there and I got to say that I really enjoyed the lesson! The instructor, Kang was very patient in guiding me through the different stabilisers and technique involved in machine embroidery. I felt the environment was very posh and conducive, definitely not a typical traditional sewing environment. Will continue to come back and try out the sewing machines and threads, as the rental prices are quite affordable! ??

Highly satisfied participant of the Free-Motion Embroidery Workshop: 1) Yasmin called first to inform me that the workshop has become available, next to confirm my registration and preferred timing, and again on the workshop eve to remind me. She's been very friendly and accommodating throughout 2) Trainer Kang was very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. He adjusted the style and pace to suit me who's never tried machine embroidery before. He explained every part of the process, answered all my questions and gave a lot of practical tips Thanks again for the great workshop, Kang and Yasmin!

Had a great time at Bernina doing the UNTAME thread painting with Auntie Yasmeen who is super patient and super kind. Got to try our hands at using a high tech sewing machine, even 8-year-old daughter was able to use the sewing machine with ease under Auntie Yasmeen’s guidance. See her masterpiece below.
