The quality of foods still being maintained for this branch. The tempura was not oily and everything was crispy. Very happy with the meal. However, I feel that the Japanese rice could be a bit more fluffier.

On the pricier side but good quality ingredients in the premium set including crab legs and white fish. Truffle chawanmushi was very liquidy and not easy to eat. Overall a decent place for tendon meals!

I’m not really a tendon/tempura person but this place blew me away. I ordered the set with cold udon. Tasted very refreshing. Tempura was crispy and tasty. The downside of this place - you only have 45 mins to dine in. The menu is quite limited. But overall service is quite good. I will definitely come back for the awesome tempura and udon.

First time visiting Tenjin and we weren’t disappointed. The tempura was light and crispy and the service was quick, yet attentive. Looking forward to the next visit!

Small dining area but cozy. Quick service, no frills tempura freshly fried upon order placed. Staff service is good, attentive and top up the tea promptly. Tempura fried to the right crispiness, however the black spicy sauce (salty & little hot) need improvement. Note tempura dipping sauce are charged separately if you need it. Overall nothing special, can find better dining options available.

Love this place. Its quiet and looks bigger than the one at shaw. This is my usual place for the dons because they are of pretty good standard. I always crave for the truffles chawanmushi which is the must order item whenever I visit. The fried items are fresh, hot and crispy and the batter is very light. Tastes good but not sure is it psychological that I feel the one in Shaw is better overall. Staff are pretty attentive and friendly. Price is rather reasonable and competitive with other restaurants. For the price I'll definitely come back to tenjin. A minus for the cabbage though, I enjoyed it but when I was about to finish them there was quite a bit of water in the bowl. They probably want to keep it fresh but didn't manage to drain off before serving.

Decided to check this place out given the long queue. It was easy (easier) to get a seat for 2. Tight spaces to get in and out of the seat makes the ambience a little cramped and rushed having the occasional accidental knocks from other patrons. Food on the overall was great, a little on the bland side though. Restaurant provides additional sauce and Chili flakes if you would like, I just prefer it to have it nicely mixed for me. Seafood taste fresh! I will recommend to try it at least once

Visited on a weekday early evening and was totally empty, however towards the end of my meal the small but cozy space slowly filled up with people. The simple and neutral tone of the restaurant was very homey and clean. Service was very good as they saw that I was carrying a bulky bag and they pulled out a chair for me to put my bag. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Ordered the prawn set and was served really quickly. The tempura was freshly fried as the items were very hot when it came. There was no oily smell. The coating wasn't too thick, the airy yet crispy texture of the batter complemented well with the prawn which was cooked perfectly. The flesh still retained its texture and taste. On the side was a refreshing salad that you could pour some sesame dressing over to cut through the greasiness. The real treat was the egg tempura as the the yolk was still under. When you pierce it with your chopsticks the oozing yolk coats the rice and makes for a perfect bite with the prawn tempura. Overall, a really good meal. Left feeling very guilty (but in a good way), definitely a sinful meal but a good one. Though prices can be a bit more expensive, but that is to be expected for Japanese food.
