The fish is really not fresh at all- to the point that it tastes fishy and sour. Way too salty as well. Food has been on a decline in quality and taste, sadly. Staff arent the friendliest with an exception of the manager who was quite warm.

Easy to find this outlet is located at Level 1 at one end of Junction 8 next to an open field. Nice and cosy corner with only few tables. I estimate can easily accommodate up to 30 customers at its peak hour. We went for a quick bite and ordered a plate of Ayam Penyet (taste good indeed) and a cup of lemon tea. There were a few people but it took about 20 odd minutes to be served. Have no qualm though the service is a bit slow. I guess they all take online orders too. Service-wise we have no qualm. Whatever will revisit if we are there the next time.

I come to this outlet at least once a fortnight! Today, 17 June at about 9.45am, the Malay counter staff was really rude (she's a new staff, not seen her previously). She made me wait for about 5 mins without apologising and her tone was dismissive. I had no idea how long she would take. Previously, the other staff at this outlet would periodically say "give me a moment" or " just awhile more". This is a fast food outlet, at least have the decency to apologise. I hope that she doesn't work there again!

The clam chowder soup is good but dory fish is not up to expectation. It's soggy. Really regret ordering it. Their potato chips are ok. I think the food quality should be improved. I feel disappointed. Maybe it will be good if they can cook upon order.?

Lots of burnt crumbs which staff should have filtered it before serving customer. Bishan outlet staff was pretty rude towards customers and made noise that their system has error messages but all should not be shown in front of customers. Unpleasant

LJS Bishan has just given up. Fried food were on the brink of being burnt, could taste the burnt bitterness coming through. You can see for yourself in the pic how dark it is. Ambience is a fail. Tables were not cleared or cleaned, rubbish strewn on the floor and tables, tables wet from previous customers. Picture with rubbish on table, nearer rubbish is mine (which I cleared before leaving), further table had receipts, and was not cleared throughout my whole stay. The staff were more interested in discussing howmany managers they have had outlasted. Speaking of staff, they are just rude and obnoxious. Cashier seemed unhappy to give out sauces, didn't provide cutlery and when asked, said "you don't have?" Or something to that effect. Another staff is trying to clear the rubbish bin, creating a ruckus, slamming the bin and trashing the rubbish loudly ruining the peace. To top it off, hair was found in our food. The kitchen looks disgusting from the little I could see through from the ordering point. I will be contacting NEA in the morning. I hope the franchisee loses the contract because honestly this outlet is a disgrace to the LJS name. I've never been so disappointed as this in a very long time at any eatery.

An enjoyable meal that can be had on the cheap. The food quality at Long John Silver’s has improved significantly though the portion of fries has shrunk. Apart from the regular fish that is served; Dory fish is an option as well. However, the clam chowder we ordered is somewhat cold, and the service was pretty slow when the visit was made.
