β β β β β Today is my second time to amk polyclinic . Good experiences from Dr Chong Kwok Chin and Dr Chloe Hui-Ling Choy on both occasions. Both doctors were patient and professional and is willing to lend a listening ear to patients. Special tks to Dr Chloe for her patience today to listen to my long list of conditions.

β β β β β Is there any way to improve the appointment time? It pains to see patient suffering worst than my own condition. Punctual patient shld consult doc on time. Yet some afternoon patient arrived early for afternoon appt which made it even more crowded. I believe the system can be improve. Do something about it

β β β β β Last week ,Tuesday I went there to be vaccinated. I was not informed what kind of vaccination I would be given until I went to level 5 5A. There I meet with a nurse Lizhen. She was a wonderful nurse. She asked me if I had flu and pneumonia jab before. I cannot remember. She went thro 7 different files to established if I had before. After a very long search, I had the flu jab in2019. She took great effort in explaining the importance of getting the two jabs. I am very impressed by her professional attitude and dedication to her job. Well done Lizhen, and thank you.

β β β β β I was scheduled for a routine fasting lab test on 4 May 2022 at 8.15am. When I arrived at the entrance, they asked if I have fever. cough. etc., I replied that yes because I have cough and running nose over the past few days. So I was given an orange sticker and told to go to level one counter. The counter staff said I have to consult a doctor before I could go for the blood test. I told her I was here for the blood test, not for consultation. She made a few phone calls to check if it was ok and finally agreed to let me proceed. Because of the orange sticker, I could not do the routine blood test at level three. It has to be done at level one. They said they would send someone to test at level one. However, the queue number was changed. I waited at the outdoor area for 45 minutes and was still not called. I checked with the counter staff several times and she said someone would come down. Earlier I did see an Indian lady in the booth labelled "Blood Test" but she took off her PPE and was chatting with another lady in black. When I approached her, she took out her handphone and said my queue number was just sent when in actual fact I have been waiting for 45 minutes. How could the system be so bad that a simple blood test needs to wait for 45 minutes? If the Indian lady could take my blood test even without wearing PPE, why couldn't the blood test be done at the regular level three and needed to move to level one where it was stuffy and ventilation was poor? There were flies in the waiting area. The system is just appallingly inefficient.

β β β β β At 1605 hrs, administration service are ready to close for work at level 1 with checking in machines shut down and 2/3 of the door shutters closed, when one arrived for a 1640 hrs appointment ahead of time.
It is sad that the good, professional and friendly work done by the doctors or medical staffs are spoilt by these manners.

β β β β β I have visited this polyclinic since I move here 6 years ago. The appointment booking system is efficient and the doctors and staff there are friendly and nice. Collection of medicine at the pharmacy is also fast. Waiting time is short and I encounter no issue whatsoever.
P.S. unless doing extra tests eg blood test, x-ray etc will take longer time.
The staff at the weighing station could be more helpful and pleasant (clinic 5D on 25/5/22 at 3pm)
