I stay in Jurong East, and cycling is my main mode of transportation around Singapore (est. 150km per week). About 2 months+ ago in Sep 18, i 'upgraded' my triple chain ring to a single one at regular most nearby bike shop and it was then realized my right bb bracket was deadlocked and i couldn't replace it with a shorter bb. Since, i was plagued with a front-drop-chain-inwards issue during up-gear shifting, and this happens particularly when shifting gear from 1 to 2. It becomes most worrying whenever i need to turn-crossing a traffic light junction moving off from a stop position. Many times i gotta get off the bike and run off the road. It is a great help that friend Bernald who has very kindly asked around his many group cycling kakis and told me about Poh Cycle, which is the 'right type' of bicycle shop for my utility bike. Along the way to my lesson at Republic Polytechnics yesterday , i dropped by Poh Cycle and explained to Uncle Ah Poh my situation (as above). I also forewarned him of my deadlocked bracket after he quoted me price of changing to a shorter bb, and he just proceed. He tried two methods intently for nearly 20min but no avail. He paused for awhile sitting down, then he told me he still have one last method, which he has not used for quite awhile. He started flipping his tool box and took out a shaft still with a bb bracket stuck on it. He struggled awhile to remove first that stuck bb bracket, which he last removed using that shaft.. It's amazing how his simple shaft works! I was so delighted indeed, hooray! =))

Extremely poor service and attitude from the uncle. It was my first visit there yesterday. After fixing my bike gears problem by adjusting some parts, I was asking him what was done to fix the problem. Not only he didn’t share with me, he was telling his co-worker that I only pay $5 and I want to learn. If a person is so stingy on sharing knowledge with customer, you can judge yourself the characters of such person.

do not come to this shop. went there to fix shaky stem but after paying, found out the sound is still there. went back to the shop and the sickening malay uncle replied "no choice" when I have already paid 18 dollars. left there with more problems than going there. went there to change my tyres. came back with a mistubed derailleur and a clicking sound from the rear wheels. sickening malay uncle definitely did something to them to make me come back and pay for his absurd prices. DO NOT COME

Went twice to fix/tune my normal mtb. As long as you speak nicely and are patient for your turn, they will charge you a reasonable price for the service you require ? Tip: Try to go during off peak hours.

Went a couple of times to do my bike. Mostly ok exerience until send trifold to do modification works. Shop broke the rear suspension catch. Luckily they manage to find a spare but still charge me for it. After modification works, the gear ratio are changed for the sturmey archer gear. Gear 1 and 2 are very close. Went to shop to ask the malay uncle to test but he didnt and said its like that. I have to wait while they do other bikes and patronize me. Unlikely will send in bike again to them and explore other shops.

Utterly shocked and disappointed.. Went for a quick derailleur adjustment, and a brake bleed. I assumed that the uncle thinks I know nothing about my bike because he just shifted my gears a couple of times and said that he completed the allignment. He charged $8 for it. As for the Brake bleed, he did not have the tools to do a brake bleed. (What’s time point of running a bike shop then) Adding on, I saw that he handled other people’s bikes poorly. Once he took the rims off from the frame he literally threw them aside. Just wow.. Didn’t expect this from a local bike shop.

Called up the shop before I went there to do minor gears and shifter alignment. When I reached, was a long queue. Waited patiently. I observed that they are genuinely wanting to fix bikes for all customers and ready to serve everyone. Some previous customers who left the shop came in a few minutes later, they do not hesitate to get the issues fixed right away. For my case it was a 5 mins job. They charge reasonably in my opinion. They are not rude at all unlike some reviews I read.

This is the first time I went there to change ebike brake pads and install main stand. And their price is reasonable and good workmanship. The uncle is knowledgeable and experienced with ebikes although it is a bicycle shop. I have went to other bicycle shops around that area but none have experience dealing with ebikes. The uncle and auntie is friendly and polite too. Highly recommended!
