Went there because my 4 month old Syrian hamster is balding like a man in his 40s. We made the appointment for the day itself, but despite the last minute call they were able to tend to my hamster ? The attending vet weighed Oreo and said that he was very cute. I think Oreo understood that and the entire night he was flustered. We're still not entirely sure what's up with Oreo but I'll keep applying the medication until he gets better. Will be back if he gets any baldier. Picture cause I wanna show him off, bald and all Update: Oreo has since grown his hair out and he's almost back to his full luster ?

Our pets had been with them for more than 5 years. Previously with our late dogs and now with newly adopted, a pair of Singapore Specials who are skittish. We were attended by Dr Grace Heng and she was very attentive and patient with our dogs. Appreciate the staff for their care towards our late dogs too. Every visit was a pleasant one, the vets are patient and attentive.

Used to patronise JV for years until I realised that they seemed short-staffed, with higher turnover rates than the past. Waiting times got longer and I kept seeing new vets/vet techs over a short-ish period of time. Sick pets are distressing to everyone, but the negative experiences and bad advice kept piling up. Most tellingly, when my pet was having a bad year and kept experiencing serious side-effects to medication, I was brushed off with impatience and condescension and not given any solutions. Slowly I lost faith in this practice and have since switched to a new place. They're costlier but my pet is healthy and noticeably less stressed when I take him there. The usual most-senior vet at JV is probably still worth the consult, but the general queue times, quality of treatment and service standards of the clinic have put me off for good.

Call TJV @ Yuan Qing and CCK at around 1+pm of 21st May 2022. My calls went unanswered. Thinking that the outlets may be packed hence not picking up any calls, I left my office in woodlands and drove straight to the CCK outlet. Upon arriving, I was told by their counter staff that they are an 'appointment basis clinic. Having gone to TJV in the past, this was something new to me. It was around 2.10 pm, and there was only one patient seen waiting to consult the vet, shortly after, a second patient arrived. I voiced my concerns with my dog, telling them that he is suffering from multiple diarrhea and episodes of vomits over the period of 36hrs. I checked with the counter staff whether I can be allowed to consult the vet on duty. My request were all rejected, since I did not have any appointment. (Well, I attempted to call for an appointment, but calls went unanswered.) The staff informed me that they were under-staffed hence not being to pick up all the calls. Mind you, my 10-15minutes spent there, I don't remember hearing their phone ring at all, so much for being under-staffed. If TJV wants to be an appointment only clinic, the least you guys can do is to make sure all calls are picked up isn't it? We are not medically trained, we wouldn't know what is an emergency and what isn't. Shouldn't the duty vet come forward and assess if the situation justifies as an emergency and assist? Please don't tell me your counter staff is capable of assessing the situation, unless she is medically trained to advice. A real disappointment in TJV, over the years TJV has changed so much and is no longer the veterinary clinic to go to in the West anymore.

My dog wasn't well as he's been vomiting and having diarrhoea for 2 days. Decided to do a walk-in so we can get some medication. Receptionist was curt and rude - wanted to turn us away because we didn't make an appointment (but there wasn't even anyone appointments when we went in at 5:30 p.m.) Reason: "Vomiting and having the runs for 2 days was not considered as an emergency and we are not an A&E vet. We only deal with appointments." I had to result to begging her before she decided to talk to the vet about our situation. Giving one star only because we got the medicine which worked really well. But otherwise, this place is definitely not joyous and lacks compassion. Never coming back ever again.

The nurses and vets are always incredibly kind and helpful. I’ve been going to Joyous Vet for years and I find that they’re generally better for pets like dogs and cats. Price is affordable as well. Thank you for the care!

Hamster had mild skin infection and i was lucky to get an appointment about one or two weeks after i called. Vets that handled Juni were friendly and patient in explaining steps to be taken for a new owner. Her skin got better in a month! It's one of the very few vet clinics in the (west) vicinity. Really lucky to have one near me! Overall pleasant experience, would visit again if needed.
