β β β β β Well, you can save some bucks by not having service charge and literally no service (order, pay, collect, eat, clear the tray - you can do so as there is a tray return area).
Original Takagi Ramen stock is great but the noodle is over cooked and soggy.
The Black Garlic Oil Ramen stock is bitter.
I was expecting the Gyoza to be pan fried instead of deep fried.
Also, I am surprised that such a restaurant does not accept credit card payments.

β β β β β Ordered this via food panda. It came nicely packed with a little note from the restaurant.
I ordered the chilli crab ramen. I was very surprised by their Chilli crab sauce. I must say their Chilli crab sauce is better than some seafood restaurants.
As for the noodles, I took ate two mouth it tasted nice until I made a huge mistake of pouring the soup into the Chilli crab ramen, which diluted the taste.
I will try their other ramen next time.

β β β β β Decent ramen at much more affordable prices. They also give the additional noodles. Good service. Can save time by ordering online then collect at store.

β β β β β Batushoga Ramen. Soup base is good and not salty but the noodles is average. Maybe texture not my like.
Takoyaki is of average taste.
Overall is still a good place for ramen.

β β β β β First time at takagi ramen. Itβs really good value ramen at a good location . Base ramen is <10$ and toppings come at extra cost
However there were three things that made the experience not as good as I hoped
1. We were not told that itβs self service and weβre seated at the back of the restaurant and kept waiting for the queue number indicator to show our number but it never did, eventually a waiter came to ask whos number xxx order . Clearly food has been left on the counter for a period of time and a fat layer already formed on top of the ramen soupβ¦ as you can see in the pics.
2. We ordered extra egg but egg wasnβt in the noodle so we had to ask for it.
3. Music at where we were seated , furthest away from cashier, is rather loud , not sure why . But Iβm guessing the speakers are that side and itβs to fill the whole restaurant??

β β β β β Always went to downtown east but never really got the chance to eat here. Had really strong cravings for ramen today so we decided to order and it turns out not bad! I was quite worried as i was afraid the noodles will be too soggy by the time it came, but the seperate packing helps and they did not cook it too soggy too. Loved it!
Gyoza was just gyoza, and the drinks was sweet and sour but still acceptable. The don was not bad too for the price at $4.90.
Store left a cute note too. Will definitely go and try it from the store next time!!

β β β β β Takagi Ramen
?1 Pasir Ris Close, #02-316, E!Avenue@Downtown East
Takagi Ramen is what comes to my mind when it comes to authentic and quality ramen at affordable prices. You can enjoy a bowl of goodness starting from $6.90. They have several outlets that operates 24 hours and you can satisfy your craving for ramen any time of the day.
?Chilli crab ramen $12.90: Chilli crab lovers definitely have to try this. Dry Hakata-style firm ramen noodles is served with a whole deep fried soft shell crab, roasted seaweed, spring onions and onsen egg. Unique combination of ramen with chill crab sauce that is so shiok!
?οΈKaraka-men (add corn) $8: This is my usual order and the special blend of red chillies with creamy tonkotsu soup really suits my taste. Perfect pairing with their tender chashu pork slices which are braised and marinated over 12 hours!
?Ebi Fry with chilli crab sauce $6.90 and ?Takoyaki $5.90: Great sides for sharing. ?

β β β β β Black Tonkotsu and Takagi Ramen
? Food wise: Thick soup! Very satisfying soup especially during a rainy day, the body was cold and drinking this soup, just heavenly. For the black tonkotsu, the taste of the garlic and the perfectly seasoned soup, irresistible! As for the Takagi ramen, the light flavoured pork broth, suitable for any time of the day. One can even say that they produced comfort food.
Ramen was quite Q, they even gave a free top up of the noodles, for big eaters, straight up thumbs up! Even though the top up noodles may be lumpy at first, dunk them in the soup, it will become the slurpy noodles again.
The meat was tender and flavourful!
Love the varieties of seasonings and garnishes that they provide for free, they opened up so many possibilities in favour of the ramen! For me, spam the chilli oil and chilli powder, so good!
β¨ Ambience wise: Busy ramen shop, it is a ramen shop like you would expect.
?? Service wise: Great!
? Price wise:Affordable prices! It even comes with a free noodle top up!
