Very poor service. Went on a sunday 2pm and not much customer with full of empty tables inside. Made to wait for 10min and got reprimanded to wait outside, when we are already waiting outside! The staff keep busying clearing tables instead of letting us go in and take a seat first. Beung forced to walk away since we are not sure how much more unnecessary waiting time is it going to take.

iPad menus were glitchy and difficult to navigate. Food portions shrank compared to my last visit. Not value for money!

Japanese tendon at a decent price point. Food was alright. I had their set meal lunch promotion, meal comes with chawamushi and miso soup. Service was attentive. Wide variety to choose from on the menu.

This is my favourite place to have lunch during work. It has open concept dining and we order from iPad. It is very crowded during lunch time. Akimitsu 秋光’s Signature Tendon was the best deal in the whole restaurant. The Chicken Tempura Tendon was slightly smaller in serving, but it was about $2 more expensive. The Prawn Tempura Tendon was even more expensive, but less filling! (Of course, if you really like prawns, you should still go for its Prawn Tempura Tendon). The serving of Signature Tendon is so huge, I always either had to have a late dinner after that, or made sure I had light breakfast. However, the quality is not that consistent. During peak hours, the tempura may come out too oily. I'm a member of their loyalty programme. Since I'm a frequent customer, I always enjoyed rebates.

Signature Tendon is $14.90++, has great variety (2 prawns, 1 fish, 2 long bean, 1 mushroom, 1 corn, 1 carrot, 1 eggplant, 1 egg). You get to choose between white or mixed grain. Also comes with a side of chawamushi. Downside is the distinct oil smell. But overall, very value for money. Akimitsu is under the JPH group - the free membership allows you to accumulate amount spent in exchange for value that can be offset the next time you dine in any of the brands under them

Decent tendon at a decent price. Cost $17+ after gst and service charge. The batter is a tad too greasy for my liking, but the variety and abundance of tempura was commendable.

Tempura Donbiri a.k.a. Tendon specialist. Their signature tendon is so huge that 2 of us could have shared it. Prawns, fish, veggies and an egg, over bowl of rice. Crunchy tempura crust, perfectly seasoned... though a bit on the salty side. Rice can be a tart drier... Overall a good joint to enjoy reasonably priced tempura made to almost perfection.

Located on basement 1 and shares the same dining space and menus with Curry is Drink. The seating along the exterior of the restaurant is recommended for an airier ambience. The tendons here are huge and good for sharing. I felt that the batter is a little too oily but the variety of items are exhaustive. Corn, mushroom, eggplant, long beans, runny egg, fish and prawns, all in 1 order! The miso based udon broth is light and tasty with hints of kombu. Prices are very reasonable for the portioning and the set meals with sets offers good value. Service staff are generally friendly and orders are fulfilled in fairly quickly for meal hours.
