Was looking for a decent lunch in aircon but I'd have to look elsewhere in future Omelette with ham was the best choice albeit quite oily Hainanese pork chop with rice... Rice was good quality but trouble began with the sauce that was just too sweet and tangy Aglio olio would have been just fine but we were recommended chicken which was a HUGE mistake The chicken pieces had a pong that even the Hainanese pork chop sauce couldn't overcome It was a terrible letdown for the cooks hard at work in the kitchen cos I could see they were really giving it all they had but we had to leave the chicken pieces on the plate. Coffee and tea were pretty respectable. The terrible chicken almost got 2 stars from me but I guess I'll just order something else next time and give 3 stars this time.

Tried the sausage meat puff pastry expecting it to be like a sausage roll. Sadly the sausage meat inside was barely so little you could barely taste it at all. Inside the restaurant were many drinking coffee and eating. Hope the food there was better than the sausage puff that we tried.

Plus (1st trip) -rather big Serving size of chicken chop -Hot fries -Nice ice lemon tea -mildly Sweet carrot -Nice young lady cleaner - affordable at 14.80 Minus (1st trip) -Warm chicken chop, not hot at all -Waited at counter for at least a min when there were like 4 person's at the area of which some are cooking. -cashier Pass me the bread, soup and drink without any receipt paper; I need to tell old lady cashier I need the receipt for the queue number - tasteless chicken chop - don't really like the bread and diluted mushroom soup - second trip. Sigh.....

Feeling slightly peckish, decided to drop by Han's at Chinatown Point to grab some late night desserts. Han's is well known for their Hainanese style Western food servings as well as local favourites such as Hor Fun and Laksa amongst others, at affordable prices. Was hoping to get their famous Peach Tarts but sadly they were already sold out for the day. Decided to try their Tarte Au Chocolate and Chocolate Truffle. They were both pretty good as a late night dessert snack. General Verdict: Nice cafe to chill at with affordable cakes and tea for late nights Opening Hours: Daily 8am-10pm Queue Situation: Generally filled but seats are usually available Prices: SG$4-SG$5 for their cakes and Pastries Payment Mode: Cash and all Major Credit Cards Items Ordered: 1) Item: Tarte Au Chocolate Description: A lovely tarte with a nice chocolate layer that mixes the flavours really well Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$4.30 2) Item: Chocolate Truffle Description: A chocolatey goodness to enjoy in the evening Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$4.90

Not too bad for a quick bite. Lots of elderly people having a coffee and chatting around. But realise their prices has been increasing whereby food quality remains the same

Star dish is the Hainanese pork chop rice. I only eat this here. Like to pour the rice over the pork chop and mixed together. Waiting time for food is 20 to 30 mins. Longer for peak hours. Also serve an assortment of cakes and puff pastries.

The all familiar Han’s Cafe at Chinatown. This outlet is large with ample n well placed table n seatings. Usual menu for breakfast delights n other Asian + western combo meals. Prices are little bit higher than other local cafes but better n more comfy seatings. It’s on location at the basement of Chinatown Point Bldg n the service is efficient, obliging n speedy. Lunch can be a bit challenging in terms of seatings so it’s advisable to arrive early. Good fast meals in comfort.
