โ โ โ โ โ The little pau shop that sells many kinds of pau. The ultra big "Yeah chi mei" pau can serve as two person. Good quality pau.

โ โ โ โ โ Reviewing on the food alone. Their glutinous chicken rice (lor mai gai) is my favorite. The rice is perfectly seasoned, neither too salty or too mild. Chewy and not oily. Their paus are very good as well with the Amy Yip Bun selling out fast.

I should have looked at their buns in the steamers before ordering, because when I got the char shao paus I immediately regretted it. For 90cents, they looked SO TINY compared to the usual hawker paus!
I measured the diameters of the paus. They're 5cm. Just 2 inches. About 1.5 times the size of a typical siew mai. ? You seriously gotta be kidding me.
I'm so dissatisfied because the cost and quality of the paus don't justify the size. The taste of the char shao filling isn't any much different from the typical hawker pau; well, maybe just the color is different ?
My mother buys the same paus at another Nam Kee branch and they are certainly bigger than this branch's.

Safe distancing? Forget about it! No way to practice for this stall. Terrible!

โ โ โ โ โ Bought a discounted big pau from Shopee. It was gross. The outer skin completely dissolved after I brought it back home. Whole bun was super sugary and mushy. Inner fillings tasted really cloying. Itโs not about the $0.90 itโs just about time and calories and food wasted.

โ โ โ โ โ Nam Kee Pau even though famous for its Pao but I think that they're noodles is one of the best. Especially with the thoughtful takeaway packaging that separates their soup and it's noodles + side dishes, also they don't shortchange on their cut chillies (unlike some stalls which gives a sea of soysauce which only a few slices of chilli). And one good tip is to buy the pao cold, so you can freeze it up and warm it whenever you're craving for it. I loves their big pao (the fillings is sufficiently good and the skin is thin). And my sis loves the red bean Pao (it's overwhelms with red bean paste, some times I can even scoop out some and have the paste on it's own).
