Visited Stars Vet on 5 December 2021 for my cat Miru's vaccination. There was some mistake with the booking of appointment slot. However, the receptionist (sorry did not get your name) was very approachable and informed that the next available slot was about an hour later. Miru was seen earlier (at my original appointment timing) so thank you for that as well. As I adopted Miru not too long ago, I was a bit nervous as to how she would react to the vaccination. Dr Charlotte Lee was very patient and friendly, helped to check her teeth and breathing, got the assistance of another staff to help with Miru before proceeding with her booster jab. Thank you Stars Vet team for being so efficient, approachable and warm!

I used to visit Dr. G at Brighton Vet but it was impossible to get slots and they are quite pricey. Dog owners around Kovan area highly recommended Dr. Jean and I’m glad I made the switch! In all my visits, she has been extremely attentive, detailed oriented, kind and patient with my dog. Thankful I found such a trustworthy vet within a stone’s throw of my house. Her appointments slots are reasonably easy to get so that’s a major plus point esp in the event of emergencies. Other staff in the clinic have been helpful too. Thank you for always caring for Kopi!

Spent 1.3K+ but they were not able to accurately diagnose and treat my dog so we have to transfer to another vet at Mount Pleasant. Pricing is relatively expensive as compare to other vet clinic. I'm paying the same price in Mount Pleasant for my dog 2 overnight stay, surgery including x-ray, blood test and medication etc. The pros for star veterinary is that they regularly update you on your dog condition during his 1 overnight stay, flexible visiting timing and also they take note of your concern. No waiting time needed during emergency. Even after transfer Jean will still make the effort to call and find out the condition of our dog. I'm very grateful for their fast act when we reach out to their clinic. Thanks!!

I bring my cat Cookie to Stars Veterinary Clinic last Friday due to diarrhoea and was attended by Doctor Anu. She did a thorough check on other condition and also found out that my cat also have ear mites. Doctor Anu patiently explained to us of the condition very clearly and show us on how to feed the medication. I am also very impressed that Doctor Anu also follow up with me on the condition and health of my cat today. I seldom do any reviews but this time, I sincerely comments Doctor Anu is a great doctor. Everyone should give this clinic a chance to prove their competence and not reading negative reviews as every individual cases are different, we must also look at the positive side. Lastly, I would like to thanks Doctor Anu and team for the excellent services. Fully recommended and thumbs up! ??

Brought my cat here as he was unwell and Dr Charlotte was the appointed doctor. Before i brought my cat there, he was able to walk and eat as per norm eventho he was suffering from pancreatitis but during his stay he got so weak, he couldnt eat and walk. This was considered an urgent case and i had to put my cat there for 5 days. During my visit i found out that Dr Charlotte was on leave for 3 days and i asked the other doctor on my cat's situation and was informed that he's nt doing well. Asked the doctor wht could have be done and he say he cnnt do anything as he is not the appointed doctor for my cat. So my qns is, if this was alr an urgent case and they know the doctor was gg to be on leave why not assign my cat to another doctor who can handle this instead. The doctor also informed me and my mother tht he was able to go home on thursday as he was admitted on sunday but the other staff there accused us of wanting to bring him home early and before we left we ask the doctor was there any additional charges ontop of the down payment we've already made and she said no so we left and got a call ltr saying there is indeed extra charges. Felt like it was unfair as we've alr confimed with the doctor before we left and furthermore my cat's condition got worse so i dont see why we shud pay the additional cost eventho the doctor said there wasnt any. What a waste of money, my cat condition has gotten worse and disappointed with the service.

On the 20 Feb i brought my dog Zhu Zhu over for her annual vaccine at Stars Vet for the first time since i just moved to this neighbourhood not long ago. Dr Charlotte did a general check and suggested a blood test on heart murmur and heart worm as she said Zhu Zhu heart rythm seems irregular. With the result showing negative on heart worm and BNp=2016 pmol/L, she prescribed Zhu Zhu pimobendan 2.5mg and Nexguard Spectra (I didn't really wanted this since Zhu Zhu hardly go out to interact with other dogs except home visiting to my families' place). She said is for prevention and good to have. She also emphasis that this medication to eat for life long and should not stop! I did not give Zhu Zhu any of the medication or Nexguard immediately as she was still healthy running, fantastic appetite and happy girl. But also with fear since doctor said it could prevent her heart murmur taking her life in a long run, I told my husband I will start to give her the pimobendan the Vet prescribed starting on 1st Mar since it indicated "Do Not Stop". The prescription indicated half tablet at least 12 hrs apart and within the 10 days i gave her 8 tablets. Within this 10 days , she still finished her dinner though she seems less active. I was thinking maybe it is the minor side effect of starting on the medication. But on 11 Mar, she suddenly collapsed, unable to stand up and passed on. I could not believe and accept the sudden demise of Zhu Zhu. She was always good and healthy. While my family and I are grieving and crying, unbearable pain to see she suddenly left us without any warning, we suspected the prescription of pimobendan is the cause! I couldnt sleep today and went on to google the death cause by pimobendan and found pimobendan-poisoning. Did you all just poison my Zhu Zhu!! I would give zero rating if I could. From grieve to anger now. I feel so guilty to put the trust on your Vet for the well-being of my dog! Your Vet just killed my dog!

Based on the reviews on this page and my experience , it is safe to recommend other vets and not star vets if you have the chance. We left them an email as well and just like all the reviews on this page, we didn’t receive a reply. We had Dr Charlotte attend to our cat. While we understand that our cat is not the friendly type, we had expected a better service from the staff as this is their profession and they should have experience on how to deal with animals that are β€˜fierce’. We were not given any assistance in attempting to hold him down in order to draw the blood and diagnose him, and although as the owner I am happy to help out, I thought that i would be given a helping hand, and not just have the staff crowding at the door and scaring my cat even more. It is not right to just simply resort to sedating fiercer cats, especially ones that are older and are of more risk of not waking up from sedation. If the doctor felt like she was uncomfortable handling my cat since he is a fiercer cat, she should have called for another doctor to take her place and not just end the consultation with no conclusion. We had to pay an unjustified amount of $40 for the consultation, when there wasn’t any check up done on him at all. (apart from using the stethoscope) We left the clinic with no answers for my cat, only assumptions which i had also gotten from the internet before i even came to the clinic. It is incredibly unfair and unprofessional to dismiss cats that are tougher to deal with, and that should be common knowledge when one is in an industry concerning animals, which are known to be unpredictable at times. We will now be looking for a clinic that prioritises the health of our cats over their fear of being scratched. I hope that the clinic as a whole, as animal lovers (hopefully), can take this feedback into consideration and treat animals who are tougher to deal with EQUALLY in the future. If you truly care for your pet, please find some other clinic to go to where the staff genuinely cares for animals and are passionate about their job. tldr: lacks BASIC professionalism, dismissive, no help at all

Thank you Doctor Charlotte and Doctor Jean for the hard work, and to the nurse(s) too who stayed behind overnight. We were kept updated with videos of our doggo even at 3am. My family and I are so thankful and amazed by the hard work and wonderful service. Really puts a pet owner’s mind at ease. Doctor Charlotte was very gentle and patient in explaining diagnosis and cost despite us asking several questions. Doctor Jean was very welcoming and warm. We are grateful to have a good vet clinic in the area :)
